Engineering Case Studies — How WUGONG Builds Its Own Products

Four engineering case studies on WUGONG's own product lines — the problem, the patented solution, the validation, and the result. Real patent numbers and test specifications, not anonymized customer claims.

Smart Toilet — Zero-Pressure Flushing and Integrated Waterway

The problem with conventional smart toilets is that they depend on building water pressure. On a high floor at 7 a.m., in older housing with scaled pipes, or in any low-pressure market, a pressure-dependent toilet stops flushing properly — and that single failure becomes the dominant field complaint. The second failure mode is electronics sitting in water.

Our smart-toilet engineering decouples the flush from the supply line. Flush energy comes from water stored in a sealed tank and driven by an axial-flow pump, not from the building mains. The supply line only has to refill the tank slowly, which even low pressure can do. This is covered by a patent cluster we own: the axial-flow flushing device (**CN220318693U**), the axial-flow pump pipe (**CN222206645U**), the pressure-balanced closed water tank (**CN220247104U**), the closed tank hidden inside the ceramic body (**CN220318691U**), sealed-tank flushing (**CN117721886A**), and the integrated heating-and-water-distribution module (**CN118482474A**).

Validation covers flush-cycle behavior across pressure bands, sealing, and electrical safety (IPX4 design for the wet bathroom envelope). The engineering outcome is a toilet that flushes the same way regardless of supply pressure.

Smart Shower — Thermostatic Ceramic Valve and Sealed Controller

A premium smart shower is an integration problem: reliable thermostatic control, sealed electronics, multiple outlets, and a service architecture that does not require breaking tile. The programs that fail usually fail at the water-to-electronics boundary.

Our shower system is built around a smart ceramic valve core — high flow, scale-resistant, long lifespan — with independent cold and hot water shutoff so there is no cross-flow, a sealed and potted electronic controller, and multi-outlet distribution (hand shower, rain shower, body jets, bathtub filler). The engineering is published as patent **CN121154031A** (published 2025-12-19), covering independent cold/hot control, mixed-water routing, multiple distribution channels, and electronic rotary switch valves.

Reference validation targets include an IP68 sealed controller, ±0.5°C temperature control, and a 10-minute quick-swap service concept in which the controller and valve are modular and reachable. The outcome is precise thermostatic control that is also serviceable.

5th-Generation Flushing System — Silent Tank, Tornado Flush

The problem with traditional flushing is that it is slow, loud, and pressure-dependent. The engineering goal for our 5th-generation system was a flush that is fast, quiet, and independent of supply pressure.

The system uses a low-speed direct-drive motor (55W) paired with a large-caliber Φ40mm inner chamber and an optimized sealed tank. The reference performance is an opening flow rate of 70L/min and a full tornado flush in about 4 seconds — roughly 5x faster than a conventional ~22s cycle — with a 1.5L water line and 100,000-cycle durability. The program is backed by 8 patents spanning utility models, design, and one invention patent.

The outcome is a flushing system that is quiet enough for hotel and residential night-time use, fast enough to feel instant, and pressure-independent.

F10010 Floor Drain — Easy-Clean, Anti-Odor, Anti-Insect

Floor drains fail in three ways: sewer odor backflow when there is no flow, slow drainage when there is, and insects entering through the drain. Most fixes solve one of these at the cost of another — a strong seal that drains slowly, or a fast drain that cannot be cleaned.

Our F10010 floor drain treats the removable cleaning structure as the core function, protected by invention patent **CN110629859B** (priority 2019-09-22, granted 2021-01-15) and a matching design patent. It combines a one-way anti-odor and anti-insect seal with a large-caliber drainage path around the removable cover, so cleaning access does not cost drainage speed. The result is a drain that cleans in place, drains fast, and seals against odor and insects.
